Als Belle & Sebastian im Sommer ein fantastisches Konzert im Gloria gespielt haben, fragte Stuart Murdoch, wann sie das letzte Mal in Köln gewesen seien, es sei jedenfalls viel zu lange her. Es werde hoffentlich nicht wieder so lange dauern. Challenge accepted.
Im Herbst hat Stuart seinen Debütroman "Nobody's Empire" (benannt nach dem fantastischen Song) veröffentlicht und damit bis vor ein paar Tagen Nordamerika bereist. "An evening of songs, readings, stories, book-signing and more." Oh, wie neidisch wir auf Chicago, Boston und die anderen waren! Ihr ahnt es anhand der Überschrift: Stuart kommt auch zum Popfest und bringt sein Buch, Geschichten und Lieder mit. Wir sind ein wenig aufgeregt.
 
We must never share our booking wish list, you would call us crazy. Belle & Sebastian on this list is not a secret though. One day after winning a lottery... Belle & Sebastian's songs were part of all our after show parties in April we'll listen and sing along to some of them earlier. We are beyond happy Stuart Murdoch will be part of Cologne Popfest!
Stuart published his debut novel last fall, named after the amazing B&S song "Nobody's Empire." Recently he toured North America for evenings "of songs, readings, stories, book-signing and more." We just saw youtube videos from these shows and we are more than happy, Stuart accepted our invitation to read and sing in Cologne, too!
