2003 erschien in Schweden eines dieser Alben, das in alle Bestenlisten von Leuten mit Geschmack gehört. Howl Howl Gaff Gaff war das Debüt der Stockholmer Band Shout Out Louds und was sollen wir sagen? Ihr werdet das am Freitag komplett bei uns hören! Die Shout Out Louds feiern das Jubiläum der Platte mit einer kleinen Tour in den Clubs von damals, aus denen sie lange rausgewachsen sind. Hätte es 2005 das erste Cologne Popfest gegeben, hätten wir sicher versucht, die Band um Adam Olenius zu buchen, 19 Jahre später passend zu unserem Neustart hat es funktioniert. Let's call this the comeback.
Die Shout Out Louds haben in den Jahren nach Howl Howl Gaff Gaff fünf weitere Alben veröffentlicht und sich mehr und mehr Fans erspielt. Bisher liefen Hits wie Please please please, The comeback, 100° oder auch Impossible nur auf unseren Indiepop Parties. Höchste Zeit, das zu ändern!
20 years ago Sweden was home of many of our favourite artists and records. One of those records was Howl Howl Gaff Gaff, the debut album by the Shout Out Louds from Stockholm. As a birthday gift the Shout Out Louds will return to the small venues they played 20 years ago to perform Howl Howl Gaff Gaff in its entirety plus other greatest hits. They'll headline our first night.
Songs like Please please please, The Comeback, 100° were always part of our Popfest parties. We are more than thrilled to welcome the Shout Out Louds to Cologne Popfest!
